Clear: these are used for general protection of the light's lens.
Amber: these are used for warning lights and/or fog/snow lamps.
Red/Green/Blue: these are typically used for security, medical, or emergency vehicles but are also used for hunting and fishing lights.
Black: these are used to black out the light if local regulations require them or if you are looking for a stealthy, hidden look.
